Cricket World Cup Victories-1983 and 2011
It is important to make a comparison between the two teams of the altogether different eras as conditions like overs, boundaries, equipments; techniques and game plan have changed. The optimism in the air across India and the reminiscence of victorious days of 1983 force us to relate the present day celebration to the glorious past.
The 1983 world cup final was between India and West Indies at Lords; both had reached finals defeating England and Pakistan respectively. Indian team was underdog and minnows against the two times champion West Indies team comprising of best batsmen (Richards, Lloyds, Haynes, Greenidge) and bowlers (Robert, Garner, Holding, Marshall) of all times. Indian team batted first after loosing the toss and made paltry 183 runs but was able to restrict them to 140 runs, thus beating them by 43 runs. Indian team won because it was having bunch of useful all-rounders like Mohinder Amarnath, Kapil Dev, Sandeep Patil, Kirti Azad, Madan Lal, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Yaspal Sharma, K Srikant, Ravi Shastri, etc.,The tournament also saw the turnaround blistering innings of Kapil Dev,making 175 runs against Zimbabwe.
The 2011 world cup final was between India and Sri Lanka at Mumbai. This time we were favourites from the start of the tournament and we were playing at home. We defeated Australia and Pakistan in crucial quarterfinal and semifinal games. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first after a small goof-up in tossing. They scored 274 runs and we were able to make 277 runs with 10 balls to spare thus winning by 6 wickets. This time we had a very balanced team,coached by Gary Kirstein, comprising of players like Sachin Tendulkar, M.S. Dhoni,Virender Sehwag,Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh, etc.

The team strategy was to restrict the opposition to moderately low scores and put up a moderate total; it heavily relied on all rounders and swing bowlers. They were playing in unfavourable foreign conditions and had never won any tournament. Kapil Dev was relatively young captain and had certain differences with Sunil Gavaskar.
The 2011 Indian team was very professional, experienced, confident and clinical in its approach and favourite from the start, relied heavily on their batsmen and spinners. As the World Cup was being hosted by the Indian subcontinent, the team was expected to be helped by the dry and high scoring pitches and supportive fan base. The team was capable of both putting up high total and also chasing it down. M.S Dhoni, being a very settled captain, had already won many tournaments like first T20 world cup in 2007.

The Great Impressionist
Sanjeev kumar was from the same genre of acting school that Moti lal, Balraj Sahani, Pran, Nasseruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Paresh Rawal are. They are all natural actors and have given their best performances while working according to the requirement of the scripts.
Sanjeev kumar born as Hari Bhai Jariwala in Gujarat in the year 1938, went upon becoming a prominent actor in Indian cinema. He remained bachelor all his life and died due to heart ailment in the year 1985. He won National awards for best acting for the films, Dastak and Koshish. He received the Filmfare awards thrice with overall number of nominations being fourteen. His most popular films are Seeta Aur Geeta, Sholay , Aandhi, Mausam, Manchali, Trishul, Devta, Angoor, Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Naya Din Nayi Raat, Naukar,Etc.,
He started his carrier in 1960 but got break as a hero with the film Nishana in 1965, a B-grade movie. However he got recognisation through film Sangarsh where he was pitted against the famous Dilip kumar in 1968. Then with 1970’s Khilona in which he played the role of a dejected, mentally unstable lover, he established himself as a successful actor. Then again he gave powerful performance in Dastak. The role of deaf and dumb “Hari” in the film Koshish and hand-less “Thakur” in Sholay, where he largely emoted through his eyes showed his prowess. The great director Satyajit Ray casted him in his classic Shatranj ke khiladi as chess-obessed “Mirza” in 1977. Sanjeev Kumar showed his versatility with Naya Din Nayi Raat by playing nine different characters in the movie.
On one hand he mastered the role of physical challenged characters and on the other hand he played romantic and comical roles in Manchali, Angoor, Pati Patni Aur Woh,etc., action oriented films like Devta, Aakramaan, Nishaan, Raja Aur Runk, etc., horror like Jaani Dushman in which he played the role of evil possessed man.
Sanjeev Kumar’s ability to portray difficult roles, irrespective of the age or the type of character with ease made him the most versatile actor of all times. He was always ready to take the challenge to do unconventional roles, that’s why he was able to work with all the best directors of his time. He was always ready to go for physical or physiological changes as per the requirements of scripts. He mastered all the genre of cinema like Drama, Action, Adventure, Tragedy, War, Classic, Comedy, Romantic and Horror. Though he played many elderly roles in his films but his contribution to the cinema is timeless and will be cherished in the hearts of all cine lovers.

How to save the country from the nemesis of corruption
Corruption is like cancer in the society which is engulfing the complete system. It spreads a very negative image of the country and hampers its development. Right from the top to bottom, this element is destroying the entire fabric of the society. Everyday we come to read about the scandals of various clerks, officers and politicians getting charge sheeted for gulping huge amount of public money either by diverting government funds or by taking bribes. The black money kept in foreign banks belongs to such people.
The political system certainly require some changes as these parties use money ,alcohol and muscle power to get votes and this money, used in the election comes from the business houses which are latter favoured. Even the seats are sold during the elections. How can we rely on these representatives who come just to multiply their investments?
The nexus between politician-burocrats-businessmen-criminals is able to influence the law. They have been able to interpret the law for their own benefits. Previously politicians used to employ these strongmen and criminals to eliminate their rivals, but now these criminals have started getting elected. We all have seen their behavior and etiquette level inside and outside the parliament.
When, for simple Government fourth class employees, a mandatory minimum education and clean character certificate is required then, why are they spared? Similarly age of retirement should be as per prevailing government law. All the properties of tainted persons should be attached and should be used in community services. The politicians and their families should be barred from contesting the elections or changing the parties once convicted.
Why is law for the poor only? Why does law take so much time to give verdict?
Emperor Jehangir type of law is required in this country, as nobody is above the law.
These hypocrite politicians don’t want laws which make them answerable and that’s why they want investigation agencies to be kept under them so that they can use them against their opponents. They try to conceal the truth; video graphed narco test should be made compulsory for them also. After so many Scams and Scandals, people of nation deserve to know all. The other remedy could be providing an open single window type approval system with time boundation for controlling corruption.
Our Late Prime Minister Shri Lal Bhadur Shastri gave us the slogan of “Jai Jawan Jai kissan “without knowing that one day it will associate the name of our soldiers in scandals like Bofors pay off, Adarsh Housing and Coffin cases. The farmers had to dump their crops on the highways for not even getting their cost prices. There are so many cases of suicides as most of the time few farmers are able take all the declared Government benefits. The lands of farmers have been taken forcibly and are not given proper compensation.
Our most sacred animal, cow is not spared either. Its fodder is gulped down by the corrupt politician who then complaints in the parliament about the cow not milking. What an irony! Corruption is gnawing our nation for sure and then we complain that we are getting nothing from country.

Maya and Mayans
The interconnected phenomenon of psychology, politics and prediction.
Maya the illusion, the bewilderment, created by the God to divert the soul towards the materialistic pursuits. Although the soul is Divine and a part of God, eternally it is under the control of Maya. Because of this the soul has limited knowledge, it's existence is bound by time and space and it is devoid of Divine bliss. This separation from God is the origin of your quest for happiness. That’s why most of human beings are engaged in only eating, sleeping, roaming, fighting, etc just like animals. Human beings are never satiated with what they have; they are in a state of sorrow for what they don’t have and thus they are not able to enjoy the almighty’s best gift bestowed on them-their life.
Mayavati, the estranged chief minister of Uttar Pradesh is also under clouds for sacking her ministers on various criminal and corruption charges, just before the state elections in February 2012. She has been targeted by opposition parties for focusing on the parks, statues and murals, thus splurging public money just to satisfy her ego, instead of fulfilling basic requirements of the state. She has been accused of helping large industrial houses, developers and builders by taking agricultural land of farmers forcibly. The National Rural Health Mission scandal, Taj corridor case, Birthday bashes, Disproportionate income case, etc., have tarnished her image. It’s an irony that this icon of Dalit’s in India and referred to as Behenji (Sister) by laymen, rose from a humble beginning and became the Chief Minister for the fourth time in 2007.According to her, the tenure saw social justice, better law and order situation, transparency in recruitment process and better growth rate.
Maya civilization that flourished around in present southern Mexican states in 2600 B.C. came into news for their theory about dooms day in 2012. The Maya calendar suggest grave disturbances like earthquakes, solar storms, volcanoes, tsunamis, magnetic pole reversal, meteorite, etc for the end of human civilization in the month of December 2012. The Maya calendar is based around Mesoamerica long count calendar which started around 11 August 3114 B.C. and ends on December 21, 2012. Mayans lived predominantly in communities and had predicted various happenings earlier too, which came true; no doubt this greatly speaks of their scientific knowledge, but merely ending of their calendar in 2012 doesn’t exactly mean the dooms day.

GOD AND GOD PARTICLE
If God is everywhere, why do we have to employ a team of 10000 scientists and a 27 km tunnel to search him?
God
God signifies “Generator, Operator and Destroyer” of the entire universe. God is eternal and has all the qualities to run this world effectively. He does not have any definite shape or size, and for some, he is in the form of powerful light which is soothing and pure, from which small lights emerge as souls which reincarnate in different forms and go through the cycle of life and death, which experience birth, diseases, old age and death. Only the human form is made most rare and intellect, out of all the forms created by him, to attain this great truth.
God cannot be attained or grasped by the material intellect but he is present everywhere and is the most powerful, innovative, merciful and opulent of all.

The term ' God particle' was coined by the physicist Leon Lederman in his 1993 popular science book and the particle that the book title refers to is the 'Higgs boson'.
What is the Higgs boson?
The theories and discoveries of thousands of physicists over the past century have resulted in a remarkable insight into the fundamental structure of matter: everything in the Universe is found to be made from twelve basic building blocks called fundamental particles, governed by four fundamental forces.
In the 1960s physicists began to realize that there are very close ties between two of the four fundamental forces between elements: the weak force and the electromagnetic force. The two forces could be described within a unified theory, which forms the basis of the Standard Model. This unification implies that electricity, magnetism, light and some types of radioactivity are all manifestations of a single underlying force called the electroweak force.
Physicists including Peter Higgs, Robert Brout and François Englert suggested that all particles had no mass just after the Big Bang. As the Universe cooled and the temperature fell below a critical value, an invisible force field which became commonly known as the 'Higgs field' was formed together with the associated particle, now called the 'Higgs boson'. The field prevails throughout the cosmos: any particle that interacts with it is given a mass via the Higgs boson. The more it interacts, the heavier it becomes, whereas particle that never interacts is left with no mass at all.
Will human beings be able to get all the intriguing answer to all questions related to unresolved mysteries created by he who himself is a mystery.

Anna Hazare-A Reformer
Anna Hazare at this age is able to give second awakening, unperturbed of people calling him with different names and allegations. He is being called RSS and BJP’s trump card to gain power in the center. He is being called an Army deserter, after this he may be called other countries’ agent. Whatever allegations are being made are just to tarnish his image and interrupt his anti corruption movement. We must have right information about him, I presume that people don’t know much about him and are just following the wave of Jan Lokpal bill movement.
He is a retired army man who gave his services for the country in 1965 and 1971 Pakistan wars. While serving he survived two chances on his life, so he decided to dedicate his life to serve the people. Despite subsequent allegations that he had deserted from the army, official records show that he was honourably discharged in 1975 after completing his 12 years of service. He used gratuity received from the service to restore the temple which became the focal point of his community service.
He contributed in developing his Ralegan Siddhi village into a role model for the other villages. He worked for all basic necessities and social issues of the village like education, power, harvesting, banking, alcoholism, upliftment , etc., not only with money but he also contributed in labour and motivated all the villagers. . He was awarded the Padma Bhushan—the third-highest civilian award—by the Government of India in 1992 for his efforts.
Why had Government given so many awards to an army deserter?
He is avid reader of works of Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda and Vinobha Bhawe.
He was instrumental in getting RTI for us. He has been fighting for justice in Maharashtra and got six ministers sacked. When an IAS was arrested in Gujarat, Anna supported him.
Government is not able to effectively tackle this movement and have given inroad to opposition parties. Corrupt politicians don’t want laws for themselves so they are maneuvering the debates in different directions. Law should be made to bring discipline and order in the society, otherwise there will be great hindrance in the path of progress.
The allegations put on Anna and his team members can be dealt after passing of the bill.

He worked for all basic necessities and social issues of the village like education, power, harvesting, banking, alcoholism, upliftment , etc., not only with money but he also contributed in labour and motivated all the villagers. . He was awarded the Padma Bhushan—the third-highest civilian award—by the Government of India in 1992 for his efforts.
Why had Government given so many awards to an army deserter?
He is avid reader of works of Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda and Vinobha Bhawe.
He was instrumental in getting RTI for us. He has been fighting for justice in Maharashtra and got six ministers sacked. When an IAS was arrested in Gujarat, Anna supported him.
Government is not able to effectively tackle this movement and have given inroad to opposition parties. Corrupt politicians don’t want laws for themselves so they are maneuvering the debates in different directions. Law should be made to bring discipline and order in the society, otherwise there will be great hindrance in the path of progress.
The allegations put on Anna and his team members can be dealt after passing of the bill.

The largest numbers the Greeks and the Romans used were 106 whereas Hindus used numbers as big as 10**53(10 to the power of 53) with specific names as early as 5000 BCE during the Vedic period. Even today, the largest used number is Tera 10**12(10 to the power of12).

Scientific India
India is one of the oldest civilizations. Its vast and still untapped knowledge in different forms like Vedas, Upanishads, mantra, yoga, meditation, etc., They are scientifically proven for spiritual enhancement. Ayurveda is an ancient knowledge system of medicine prepared from herbs that has gained global acceptance especially for alternative ways of preventive, curative and rejuvenative processes making life a more pleasurable experience. Yoga is the ancient Hindu system of mental and physical exercise that improves ones health and mental peace.
The country has given various discoveries like Zero, Decimal System, Astrological and Astronomical Cycles, etc., Algebra, trigonometry and calculus came from India. Pythagoras Theorem was solved way back in 290 BC in India.
India is a land of diverse cultures. The variations in physical, climatic conditions and the extent of exposure to other cultures have greatly influenced the traditions and culture of the different regions. There is an underlying basic factor common to the whole of India, with variations in the practices based on their local needs and influences. Further, the greatness of India has been in accepting the best from all the invaders and intermingling the new customs and styles with the existing - this is visible in all aspects - music, dance, painting, sculptures, and architecture.
The vast and diverse Indian culture has persisted through the ages precisely for the reasons of antiquity, unity, continuity and the universality of its nature. Thus within the ambience of Indian culture one can identify Indian Art, Architecture, literature, Music Dance, Cinema, Cuisine Fairs and Festivals' and so on. India is home to some of the major world religions, Hinduism,Islasism,Christanity, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism.
In our ancient epics there is reference of Braham Astra whose energy was equivalent to nuclear power, now scientist are researching it even historically radioactive places have been discovered.
Similarly Ravana flying object used for abducting the Sita may have given idea to people like Wright Brothers for inventing the aero planes. The characters in our epics were able to fly or change shape or even able to become invisible.
Many books and treasures were taken away from India by the foreign intruders based on which the foreign scientists are researching to do new inventions.

Indian Treasure
The treasure in the form of gold, silver, coins, diamond, precious stones, etc., found in Padmanabha Swamy temple in Kerala is just an example of how rich Indian temples are.
This enormous wealth had always invited plunderers to come to our country and loot our treasures and now we see some of these items selling at huge sums in the international auctions.
Golden Bird as India was known was not only for its materialistic wealth but also for its scientific knowledge and spirituality. Somnath, Konark and other various temples were looted umpteen times for their wealth.
Why do we have so many religious places? India is home to some of the most ancient civilizations, we have so many diverse religions, Hinduism, Islamism, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism to name some, which preach deep respect for the almighty God and not to commit any sins to make people tread the right and virtuous path. The deep rooted faith in God, as well as fear takes millions, to the pilgrimages and to donate handsomely to get rid of these sins.
There are so many other temples, trust and religious outfits which get huge amount of donations from millions of people. If we have so much treasures in one or two temples and trust then what about all the other such institutions of the country? We know about Gurus, Babas, Yogis running multi billion empire by selling ancient, philosophy, yoga, meditation, ayurveda, etc. The treasure found in Sathya Sai Baba's Puttaparthi ashram was making news, as cash of Rs 11.5 crore, 98 kg of gold and silver articles weighing 307 kilograms was found from his private room. The money and valuables took 36 hours to count.
If we have so much money then why are we called poor country? Why don’t we use this money for betterment of the country?
There is no use of keeping this treasure in holy places or vaults, and spending on its security instead, if we can have a better TODAY. We should make single trust that will take over all this wealth and use it for the betterment and progress of all the countrymen, after all this treasure belongs to them. Just imagine how many schools, colleges, homes, hospitals, roads, power plants, etc can be built. This efficacious decision taken now will lead our country to a better and prosperous future.
